The teams were subjected to a number of Olympic themed challenges including archery, sprinting, shot put and a fun version of horse jumping using hobby horses. Each team also had to make their own flag and Olympic torch to carry with them during the day.

The day ended with a ceremony where 1st, 2nd and 3rd places for each event received a medal with the overall winners receiving a trophy. Orsett & Bulphan Whitmore 1 were the overall winners with Thameside Royals in second and 7th Grays in third. Congratulations to all the winners.

The day was a big success and the Scouts and Guides really enjoyed themselves.

Many thanks go to AVOCK Scout Active Support for organising and running the day, the Condovers Team for running the rifle shooting and Phoenix Network and Thurrock Gang Show Scout Active Support for helping throughout the day.
