Stifford Scouts’ busy summer

30th September 2014
Stifford Sea Scouts have had a very busy summer with lots of fun and adventure!

It all kicked off when the Scouts were invited to run the inflatable section of their local primary school fun day. They had a successful day and helped to raise over £500 for the school.

Raising money was also the aim when they joined in with Iceland’s charity week. The Scouts had a bag packing session to raise money for the Royal British Legion.

Over the summer holidays the Scouts visited the Cubs’ summer camp at Thriftwood and spent a day and night with them, taking part in lots of different activities.

Finally, the Scouts enjoyed a weekend expedition camp at Cherrywood campsite recently.

Let us know what your section was up to over the summer! Send your stories along with a few photos to media@thurrockscouts.org.uk.
