Safety and Safeguarding

Doing things safely is fundamental to everything we do at Scouts. Whether it’s a weekly activity at a meeting place, an adventurous activity or a nights away experience, we take every step to ensure both the young people and our adult volunteers are safe and protected from harm.

Information on various safety areas can be found on the National Scouts website, including example Risk Assessments.

Every volunteer also has to follow our Safeguarding Code of Conduct and is required to complete Safety and Safeguarding training every three years to be made aware of any changes and to refresh their knowledge.

Our District Health and Safety Team produces regular Bulletins covering a number of topics.
