Thurrock Beavers and Cubs have fun at Linking Day

6th March 2015
Over 160 Cubs and Scouts from across the District had a fun linking day recently at Thriftwood Campsite.

The young people enjoyed lots of different activities including climbing, archery, the cresta run, cork guns, pedal cars and crate stacking. The Beavers also had the chance to get to know some of the Cubs before they move into the Section.

Before the event, a competition was held between all the Beavers and Cubs in the District to design a fun badge for the day.

After receiving lots of entries and having the tough task of deciding the winner, the lead volunteers for Beavers and Cubs in the District finally chose the winning design.

Congratulations go to Emma Staff of Thameside Orion Cubs who won the competition and, as well as seeing her badge be produced, received an iSCOUT wash bag for her to use throughout her Scouting journey.

Many thanks have to go to the District Climbing and Archery teams, the Thriftwood crew and all the helpers who made the event run smoothly.
