Testing Beaver minds and Cub teamwork with recent District activities

The Beaver Quiz was the first to occur, with 10 colonies represented. The teams of three completed nine rounds of questions ranging from kids entertainment to general knowledge.

It was a very close competition but Orsett and Bulphan Kestrels were the winners.

The following week it was the turn of the Cubs to visit with their Games afternoon. 20 packs attended and the teams of three spent the afternoon taking on each other in a number of different games.

Giant jenga, ha’penny, snakes and ladders, boggle and connect four were just some of the games on offer. Hungry hippos was especially exciting and fast-paced and the Cubs certainly put a lot of effort into it.

At the end of the afternoon, it was Thors Oak who took home the trophy, helped by an impressive performance in the darts.
